Goofy Galaxy TV-show

Po-po-po-popsters!!

I wish there was snow already! And Christmas! I don't know why, but this year I'm a little extra excited for Christmas. I don't mind that the stores have lit their christmas lights already, not one bit!!! You always hear people complaining: "Oh, again those darn Santa Clauses and gingerbreads, every year a bit earlyer X(...!" Christmas is one damn good tool to cope with this dark and windy autumn i.m.h.o! =D And I also happen to know what we all in Satin Circus would want for christmas, but I'm afraid that's not something that Santa can decide... =I

Last tuesday we spent at Pate's studio @ Fried Music. And Oh My God we hit off with what might now be the lead single, and it took a great leap forward!! Thats all I'll say! I won't give you too much to think about!

On thursday we took the train to Tampere to a video shoot for the children's TV-program "Galaxi". I had bought some new Fazer candy, with which I played the entire time in the train! Mom said you shouldn't play with food... but then again, she also said that candy isn't food at all! :D

They had a pretty awesome studio with some pretty awesome scenery there!! Unfortunately the show won't air until the 30th of January, but in the meantime you can digest this very goofy footage from the sessions:
Axel has never seen a hairspray bottle...?

This first is Satin Circus on TV!! And in the next pic we made an attempt in "inceptionism" by capturing ourselves taking a picture of ourselves!!! Amazing! I think you can kinda' see it despite the high zoom.

"Movember" is an annual event, founded in 2004 by some australians, with the intent to raise funds for mens healt. I'm taking "movember" a tad too seriously this year. Anyone can participate by growing a mustache to raise awareness of mens health issues... weird!! So, I started growing a mustache.... but I didn't quite realize the consequences of long facial hair! It tickles like crazy! And it makes me look like a walrus! And I'm gonna get rid of it tomorrow!!! Sorry men! And sorry for your bad health! But I can't stand this lampshade under my nose anymore! We still had good times together, like when you warmed my lips in the cold autumn breeze!! Bye!!

This is what it looks like today:

Pretty good handlebar stash there. But tomorrow it will go, because its PARTY TIME!!

Hehehehee!
We'll keep you in tune!!

PS. the word "GOOFY"...yea... :D lol

Keep cool, and sorry I was late =D

Hi there Popsters! :)

Another month has passed and it's my time again to let you guys know what we're up to :)

This Thursday we are gonna take the train to Tampere and we're going to be on a TV show called Galaxi on YLE TV2. We're gonna play an unplugged version of Peach Party and do an interview. It's not gonna be live, so the show will be aired sometime later. We'll let you know once it does :)

We have spent the last few weeks pretty much in our studio so I'm really looking forward to this trip. Also, it's been a while since the last time I was in Tampere and I've always liked the city. Axel has been the one organizing this trip, and we might be staying in Tampere for a bit longer than just for the show. Let's see what Axel comes up with but whatever it is, it's gonna be something that Tampere is not gonna forget! :D

The "Pikkujoulu" season (pre-christmas party - check the very first blog entry to see the long explanation if you don't know what it is) is almost here and we've been invited to some really cool parties (Sony Music and Rähinä Records just to mention a few)! Our trademark have always been the bright colored jeans, but for these occasions we've planned something special: bright colored blazers! It turned out to be a really difficult task to find four jackets in different colors this time of the year, so we've been searching through the internet to get our hands on some. It became quite an international shopping trip since Axel found his from the US, Krippe found his from the UK and I found mine from China. Now let's just hope they'll make it to Finland in time. Since Paul is the most handy of us he made his by himself :) We're really looking forward to meeting some great new people and to have tons of fun at these parties! We'll keep you posted on the subject :)

Just a random pic from our last years "SC-pikkujoulut" ;)

Last week we passed 1.5K likes on our Facebook page! Thank you all so much! The support you give keeps us going! We love you <3

Ps. Last week we wrote a song about you Popsters! It turned out to be a really good one and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be on the album :)

Websites, logos, preparing for pogo!

Hey Popsters!

What a surprisingly normal week. Nothing extraordinary has happened. Well apart from insane brainstorming about our future album, looks and what not. No week is "normal" for Satin Circus but this one has been fairly uneventful. As I'm writing this blog I have exactly 15 minutes to get it ready. Let's hope I'll make it.

We have some gigs coming up before Christmas. Just like you guys requested! It's heartwarming that you constantly ask us about gigs, events etc. We might actually be doing something with a purpose n_n'

8.12 Kirjasto 10 Helsinki (unplugged)
9.12 Paviljonki, Jyväskylä w/Robin
15.12 Caribia, Turku w/Robin

11.1 The Circus, Helsinki w/Chris Medina              (Click on the link for the Facebook events!)

As usual, we've been spending a lot of time in our studio fooling around!

Plu's insane singing skills

I have exactly three minutes left. Darn this photo position system! :)

We're working on our logo at the moment and it's been super fun. Imagine trying to describe Satin Circus in one single piece of art. It's quite hard huh? The new website is also under construction. Can't wait for you all to see how what we're developing! It's beautiful to see that our hard work is bearing fruit!

The real reason for this blog being a bit late is the fact that I was enjoying playing video games. Something I've been doing quite a lot lately :) I'm also on the hunt for an extravagant blazer.
Requirements: Colorful, Slim Fit, Awesome.

I'd like to be stylish for the upcoming pre-Christmas parties! We have a few ones coming up. The legendary Satin Circus one(!) and we just got invited to Sony's  "Glögi-party". If you're hardcore you'll take a time travel back in ... well time, and check out our blog posts from last year. You might just find something interesting! Not that I advise you to do it. :D At least we've come a long way from last year!

That's it for me now! And I'm 10 min late... But this one goes out to all of you night-owls. I know you're still up waiting for this post to be released. Here it is!

Stay Classy dear Popsters <3

Sunday, Sunday

Hello everybody <3

I love Sundays!! Can't think of a better way to end the week than pizza, candy and America's Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest! (on the Voice 104.6 every Sunday evening)! Sunday band practice is also different from other days. We start a bit later, often a bit tired from last night's crazy dancing.. We write songs, tell bad jokes (and sometimes good ones!!!) and discuss important subjects like swedish producers, pizza toppings and girls…

                                           writing the blog :D

                                           Almost winter!

This week's been great! We had an interesting meeting with the record company, and we realized that when we're only writing songs all day and producing demos on our studio's computer we're not really doing the most important part of being a band: playing the songs. So while we've spent the last 3 months writing, writing and writing, we finally decided to practice and play the new tunes. We got a lot of new energy and new ideas, and I can already hear the sold-out stadiums singing along ;)

We played unplugged at COR-huset on Tuesday, great audience!!
keep posting photos like these dear popsters<3

We now have almost 30 songs, and we like most of them a lot. Only the best 10-12 are gonna make it to the album, so the bad news are that some of your and our favorites might not make it… But the good news are that they will be replaced by even better ones!! ;)

The next phase in making this album is choosing the best songs, and after that they will be produced, recorded and mixed.  We've been in contact with a great Swedish producer, and he might just be available to do the production, which would be soooo great. He's currently in Los Angeles working with some of the biggest Billboard-topping artists, and it remains to see what happens when he comes back to Stockholm… Let's just hope for the best… ;)

                                                              LIVE @ Kamppi

Here's a video of the new Speed Of Love - Unplugged Edition from our Kamppi-gig. Check out the sax solo ;)

Hope you all have a great week!
